Food Waste Action Week 2024

For the second year in a row, Documation is pleased to announce their participation in Food Waste Action Week.

This year’s theme is ‘Choose What You’ll Use’ which highlights “the benefits of buying loose fruit and vegetables and inspiring people to do this wherever they can.” The campaign will run from Monday 18th to Sunday 24th March.

WRAP is a climate action NGO working around the globe to tackle the causes of the climate crisis and give the planet a sustainable future. Established in the UK in 2000, WRAP now work in over 40 countries.

With 8-10% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions relating to food waste, the campaign aligns with Documation’s sustainability policy and pledge to become Net Zero by 2030.

“We are looking forward to joining in with this year’s Food Waste Action Week.  As a team we are all passionate about working towards a sustainable future, and having initiatives to focus on such as this years WRAP ‘Choose What You’ll Use’ we can collaborate to learn and share ideas that really make a difference!”

Julia Stovold, Marketing Manager at Documation

Documation will be contributing to the campaign by using the hashtag #FoodWasteActionWeek, sharing content throughout the week that supports the ‘Choose What You’ll Use’ theme. The Documation team will receive daily tips explaining the benefits of buying loose. Each day of Food Waste Action Week, the team will be given a  seasonal fruit or vegetable to take home and use in their meals, and share their ideas and recipes on the dedicated sustainability Microsoft Teams channel.
