AP Annual Update

We were asked to contribute to the AP Annual Update for the Accounts Payable Association on Tuesday 21st April to talk about technology.  A very broad subject that we fine-tuned to Communications and Automations when remote working.  We covered video conferencing, emails (and how to spot the fraudulent ones!) gave advice on security measures when working from home and then turned to automation. 

Agility in the face of Covid-19

We have been speaking to our partners (customers) during these strange times, trying to make sure we help and support them, and generally just check in with the teams that we have got to know over the years. There are many stories coming out from these communications but there was one that I wanted to share with you, one that shows great organisation agility.

By day, Paul Newman, is our Project Manager at Documation.  Outside of work Paul is a senior football referee who has just been appointed Reserve Referee for Southampton Football League Senior Cup final – what an achievement!

We are proud to support her through her Doctorate studies at University of Southampton and wish her the best in the last few months of her studies.

On October 4th, Alan Farrell will be taking part in the TEE-18 Charity Golf Day to raise money and awareness for the SOFT UK charity. As an important aspect of the support given to all team members, Documation will also be donating to this fundraising event.

Kevin Conquers Three Peaks in Latest Charity Challenge

Kevin’s challenge was to scale each of the highest peaks In England, Scotland and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Mount Snowden) over 3 consecutive days, along with 10 friends and all to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Spring Statement brings case for AP Automation

The Chancellors Spring Statement last week announced new proposals for tackling the late payment culture that is affecting many SMEs. The initial directive will require listed companies to report and publish payment practises as part of their annual report. AP automation provides the metrics  for the Duty to Report on Payment Practises and Performance mandated by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

Dan runs the London Marathon 2019 for the Dementia Revolution

Daniel Jeremy, Graduate Data and Testing Analyst at Documation, will be running the London Marathon 2019 to raise money and awareness for the Dementia Revolution, a year-long campaign started by the partnership of the Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
